You don't even need to fifo to get a good wage working for a mining company. Most have offices in Perth and the jobs in them are very well paid. Try Rio Tinto, BHP, FMG, McMahans, HWE, Leightons, or suppliers like Westrack, all have above average paid jobs even in town.

If your looking for cook, cleaner type of work then check out the contractors like SHRM, P&O, Berkley-Challenge, etc. For dump truck type of work for which they prefer females then try all your mining sub contractors like McMahons, Leightons etc. For oil rig type of work try OD&E, WAPET, etc. Good luck

Kalgoorlie is a good place, if you have no family it is evan better, you go off on a camp, they pay fantastic, plus your keep, food, water, internet, phone, pool etc.

Also the BHP nickle smelter is have a year long shut down , fantastic pay.
